RAOTW 2021

After much thought and with the 10th July planned date of RAOTW 2021 being so close to the earliest date COVID restrictions could be lifted (21st June), the decision has been made not to go ahead with the event on the second Saturday of July.

We believe that this is the best decision in consideration of the health and safety of the Easingwold community and the potential financial risk to the event itself.

We know for sure that the folk of the 'wold will have been looking forward to this event even more so than usual after the year we've had and therefore we are still considering the possibility of moving the event to a later date in the year.

Thank you all for your understanding and we will keep you informed of any developments or decisions made.

Come on you reds......and black stripes!

Although we have been unable to hold our festival this year, we are super proud of the fact that we can still continue to support the community of Easingwold in other ways.
We are now official sponsors of Easingwold FC U7’s for the next couple of years.

We wish all the very best to the team, coaches and club and look forward to seeing their development over the coming years.

An Apple A Day....

RAOTW are pleased to announce that we have teamed up with local Greengrocers, Hebdon & Sons to be able to provide fresh fruit to the staff at Millfield Surgery, Easingwold for the next few months.

We would all like to extend our thanks to our local NHS heroes for all of their hard work and dedication during this difficult time.

2019 - Another Busy Year for RAOTW

We would like to thank everyone who made 2019 another fantastic year. We have once again raised a great amount for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity as well as being able to return some funds to the Easingwold Community, namely the Library and the Primary School. Our Co-Op Community Grant is a great boost to us and it means that RAOTW will be around for many more years to come and will hopefully grow bigger and better each year. Watch out for news of RAOTW 2020 which will be here before you know it!

Thank You Co-Op

A huge Thank You to the shoppers and members of both Easingwold Co-Op stores who raised in excess of £25k for three local causes, RAOTW being one. Our cheque for just over £8000 will make a huge difference to our event in future years and will go towards the setting up and running costs of the event.

Rockin' to School

Richard Graves and Richard Tanfield have presented Easingwold Primary School with a cheque for £500! The money raised by the pair through their involvement as organisers of the Rockin’ All Over The Wold event in Easingwold has been used to buy much needed musical equipment in school. As a result of their kind donation, the children now have access to enough glockenspiels so that a whole class can play together and an array of ethnic musical instruments to give them opportunities to experiment with sounds and music from different cultures. In addition, a class set of recorders have been purchased so that all are able to learn a tuned wind instrument and also a larger selection of boomwackers (hollow tuned tubes you can hit on surfaces to create sounds) which are particularly good for younger children. Along with this, we were also able to order some teaching resources to accompany the recorders and ethnic instruments so that teachers delivering music in school can plan higher quality music lessons, where all areas of the curriculum are considered.

Before the half term break, Mr Graves and Mr Tanfield took the time to visit the children and hand over the cheque in assembly. They were also able to explain a little more to the children about the importance of music in the locality. The school were thrilled to receive this kind donation and to purchase the equipment for the children. As a school who values the importance of a broad and balanced curriculum, Easingwold Primary School already have a number of musical events. These include participation in the Young Voices performance in Manchester, a large and active choir who attend local events as well as a summer concert (organised by Kathleen Butcher) in which the musical talents of the children are showcased. The purchasing of these new instruments will further widen the musical access for all children.

On behalf of everyone at Easingwold Primary School, we thank Mr Graves and Mr Tanfield for their kind donation.

Easingwold Community Library Cheque Presentation

RAOTW are pleased to announce that we have made a donation of £250 towards the running costs of Easingwold Community Library. As you probably know, the library is now being successfully run by a team of volunteers and is continuing to go from strength to strength. We hope that with the continued growth of RAOTW we will be able to help support more local causes in Easingwold.

Every year we donate £1000 to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance Charity. As well as this donation, the YAA stall also raises more funds at our event.

Rockin' All Over The Wold relies on the support of its volunteers who give up their time to help to run the event.Without them this event wouldn't continue to be the success that it is.

If you would like to spare a few hours of your time to get involved with the setting up, running and packing up of the event, please get in touch.
